Missile attack on Kyiv: city administration report

On January 2 morning, Russian troops launched another massive missile and drone attack targeting the Ukrainian capital.

According to the Kyiv authorities, the air raid alert lasted for 6 hours.

First, Russians attacked the capital with 15 Shahed kamikaze drones. Then, the invaders launched Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and Kinzhal ballistic missiles.

The Ukrainian air defense destroyed all enemy drones, more than 60 cruise missiles and 10 ballistic missiles. The final report on the number of launched and shot missiles will be given by the air command.

The strikes caused civilian casualties. President Zelensky informed about 4 killed and 92 wounded civilians.

The Kyiv authorities reported considerable damage to the high-rise apartment buildings and other objects in the capital.

The emergency services are working on the sites continuing the search and rescue operation.
