Ukrenergo reacted to the report about the threat of Russian missile attacks on the energy system of Ukraine during the coming cold weather period.

Company’s CEO Kudrytskyi assured that in the event of such attacks, there would be no collapse in Ukraine’s energy system.

‘This will not be the first time. We have already gone through it about 20 times. This, of course, will create additional problems for us. But I am sure there will be no collapse of the energy system. The enemy will not achieve this,’ he said.

According to Kudrytskyi, the drop in the temperature is a test for any energy system, and in order to pass this period without outages, all power plants must be brought into operation.

He also called on the population to use electricity sparingly.
