As of January 10 morning, electricity consumption is increasing and remains at a high level. A slight deficit is expected in the energy system throughout the day.

On January 9, the daily maximum consumption was recorded around 17:00 and was 3% more than the corresponding indicator of the previous day.

Today, the maximum load on the power system is expected in the morning and afternoon hours. According to the forecast, its level will remain high the whole day.

In order to compensate growth in consumption, it is necessary to use additional capacity of power plants. Due to the low temperature, all Ukrainian power plants are operating at maximum capacity.

Electricity is imported during the day from Slovakia, Romania and Moldova.

Ukrenergo calls on the population to use electricity sparingly.

Yesterday, outages due to bad weather were reported in 1 000 towns and villages of Ukraine.
