Ukraine lost 19.3% of arable land due to the Russian invasion

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has lost 19.3% of its arable land.

The loss is primarily related to the Russian occupation of the territory and the impossibility of carrying out agricultural work near the war zone.

Explosive objects are also a problem.It is necessary to examine and demine 470.8 thousand hectares of agricultural land.

In addition, Russia deliberately causes man-made disasters, such as the explosion of the Kakhovka dam, which left almost 70% of Kherson region without irrigation.
