Intense fighting raged across several key frontlines as of 10:00 PM on August 14 with 153 combat clashes reported, according to Ukraine’s General Staff.

The Pokrovske sector accounted for a third of all combat engagements over the last 24 hours.

Russian forces, backed up by aviation, launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk and Sotnytsky Kozachok in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian defenders eliminated or injured over 70 Russian soldiers, destroyed a tank, five armored vehicles, an artillery system, 30 UAVs, and several other military vehicles.

In the Kupiansk area, Ukrainian forces repelled eight of nine Russian attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Berestove. Intense combat continues.

The Lyman sector saw 15 Russian attacks near Makiivka, Nevske, and Terny, with two clashes still ongoing. In the Siversk sector, Russian forces attempted 24 assaults, with seven battles still active.

Ukrainian soldiers thwarted four out of five attacks near Chasiv Yar and Andriivka in the Kramatorsk area, with one ongoing fight. In Toretsk, 21 Russian assaults were recorded, with 18 repelled. Fighting continues in three locations.

The Pokrovske direction remains the primary focus for Russian forces, who launched 55 attacks, losing over 250 soldiers and several vehicles. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 40 attacks, with 15 more clashes still underway.

In the Kurakhove area, Ukrainian forces held off five Russian assaults near Kostyantynivka and Krasnohorivka, with one battle still ongoing. The Vremivka front saw six Russian assaults, with four repelled and two continuing. The Orikhiv and Prydniprovske directions witnessed unsuccessful Russian attacks, with no territorial losses for Ukraine.

The General Staff made a special mention to the soldiers of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade for their “effective combat efforts”.
