The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on the Polish authorities to legally assess the actions of the participants of the protests at the border, to restore traffic through the checkpoints and to stop anti-Ukrainian propaganda.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleh Nikolenko, the blocking of the Polish-Ukrainian border, regardless of slogans, is ungrounded.
He emphasized that the border is important in view of the war, and the actions of protesters and individual radical politicians will undermine the Ukrainian economy and resistance to Russian aggression.
The spokesman emphasized that the border of Poland and Ukraine is also the border of the EU and should not become a means of political pressure.
Nikolenko emphasized the importance of preserving the solidarity between Ukraine and Poland, which was built in recent years. He called on Ukrainians and Poles to protect good-neighborly relations and preserve the security of the states.
Today, there were reports that Polish protesters blocked railway connection between the countries.
Earlier, it was reported about incidents on the Polish-Ukrainian border.
