Defense ministry trains de-mining units

The defense ministry continues training of de-mining battalions, which are involved in clearing the liberated territories of Ukraine of explosive objects.

The officials checked one of the newly created units of the Support Forces Command to perform tasks of clearing de-occupied territories from explosive objects.

The staff has undergone professional training both in Ukraine and in partner countries and is constantly improving their skills during practical field training.

The most prepared de-mining groups are already performing the assigned tasks in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

The unit is equipped with ScanJack 3500 demining machines. This is a 40-ton, 14-meter-long machine. The speed when clearing territories contaminated with explosive objects is 0.2-1.5 kilometers per hour.
