“European Solidarity” party MP Victoria Siumar reported on the results of the discussion of the draft law on mobilization at the meeting of the Anti-corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.

She noted the “declarative norm on demobilization after 36 months” and the “corruption risks” of the draft law.

‘In fact, both the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff recognized that the rule on demobilization after 36 months is declarative. Because in fact, after 36 months, a serviceman only gets the right to write a discharge report. But the Supreme Commander-in-Chief will decide who and when to demobilize,’ she explained.

In addition, the MP stated that the draft law has corruption risks.

‘Everything is again written not clear and is questionable in terms of compliance with the Constitution… we suggested how to improve it,’ Siumar concluded.
