The electricity consumption in Ukraine increases due to the colder weather and the end of the holiday season.

On January 2, an increase in consumption by 13.8% was recorded compared to December 26, and as of 10 am January 3, the level of consumption exceeded the indicator of the same hour of the previous day by 14%.

As of now, the electricity production fully meets consumption needs, but the increase causes additional load on the energy system.

In order to reduce the load on the system, Ukrenergo recommends transferring the use of energy-intensive devices from peak evening hours (4-7 pm) to nighttime or morning.

Earlier, army command South press officer warned about possible Russian attacks on the energy objects.
