Due to the decrease in temperature throughout Ukraine, the level of electricity consumption continues to rise.

On January 8, the daily maximum consumption was in the evening and it was 9.5% higher than the corresponding indicator on the previous working day, January 5.

As of today, the consumption continues to grow and is 5.8% higher than yesterday.

In general, the production of electricity in Ukraine meets the consumption needs.

However, a significant increase in consumption creates a significant additional load on power plants, which are already operating at maximum capacity. Most thermal power plants are still recovering after Russian missile attacks and solar power plants cannot work at maximum capacity due to dense clouds and bad weather.

The company urges the population to use electricity sparingly.

Earlier, the energy ministry reported electricity disruptions in more than 1 000 towns and villages of the country.
