Fighting intensifies on Pokrovsk front,- Ukraine’s General Staff report

The situation on the front lines remains volatile, according to latest update from the General Staff in late hours of Sunday.

The fierce clashes are taking place on the Pokrovsk front, with “significant enemy activity” also reported on the Kharkiv and Kupiansk fronts.

“Since the dawn, Ukrainian forces have engaged in 77 clashes.”

On the Kharkiv front, Russian troops launched nine offensives near Hlybokie and Vovchansk. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled seven assaults, with two engagements still ongoing. Early reports suggest enemy casualties today amount to 79 military personnel killed or wounded. Ukrainian forces also destroyed a tank, two artillery units, an armored vehicle, 12 military and three specialized vehicles, and shot down 11 drones. Two enemy tanks also sustained damage.

On the Kupiansk front, the enemy attempted ten advances towards Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, Berestove, and Hlushkivka. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled seven attacks, with engagements ongoing.

In the Lymanske sector, the enemy targeted Ukrainian positions six times near Makiivka and Terniv – one combat engagement is still ongoing while other attempts were thwarted by Ukrainian forces.

On the Siversky front, the Russian troops made five unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses near Verkhniokamianske and Vyimka, with ongoing clashes near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk area, enemy forces engaged Ukrainian positions in five clashes, with three attacks near Chasove Yar and Andriivka repelled and two still ongoing. The Russian troops sustained significant losses.

On the Toretsk front, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy attacks near Pivnichne, Toretsk, and Zalizne, with engagements continuing at two locations. The situation remains under control.

The most intense fighting was reported on the Pokrovsk front. In the early hours of Monday, enemy forces attempted 27 incursions near  Vozdivenka, Novoselivka Persha, Novooleksandrivka, Prohres, Kalynove, and Umanske. Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 of these attacks, with five engagements ongoing.

Ukrainian forces are “actively stabilizing the situation” preventing enemy advances into Ukrainian territory. According to reports, Ukrainian forces destroyed 276 Russian military personnel.  One armored vehicle, one artillery system, and nine vehicles were destroyed, while ten artillery pieces, one tank, 19 vehicles, and one MLRS were significantly damaged.

On the Kurakhiv front, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions five times, with the most active engagements near reported near Krasnohorivka and Paraskevivka. All enemy attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses were repelled.

Russian forces made three unsuccessful attempts to storm Ukrainian positions on the Orihiv front near Robitne and Novodanylivka.

On the Prydniprovsky front, the enemy is trying to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions, with one failed assault reported today.

The General Staff said the 68th Oleksa Dovbush Brigade deserved a special mention for “their effective and professional combat operations”.
