The governor of Kharkiv region, Oleh Synehubov, commented on an article in The Telegraph that Russian troops will resume their offensive in the region in January.
According to him, the Russians have indeed intensified their shelling of the region in recent days, in particular their attacks on settlements near the border.
‘Over the past two days, Russian troops have fired dozens of S-300 missiles at these settlements. Residential buildings and other objects of civil infrastructure were hit,’ the governor wrote.
At the same time, there is no evidence that the Russian Federation is preparing a new offensive. Synehubov explained that for this, the enemy army must concentrate military units in certain directions, and this is not being observed now.
‘However, the situation can change each minute, and we are of course keeping a close eye on it,’ the governor concluded.
