MP Yulia Yatsyk leaves “Servant of the People” faction

Ukrainian MP Yulia Yatsyk has officially departed the “Servant of the People” parliamentary faction on her third attempt, after two previous attempts were blocked by party MPs. Yatsyk had tried to sever ties with the faction in 2020 and 2023.
She argues that her departure was prompted by a negative reaction from President Zelensky’s office to her outspoken criticism of alleged corruption involving the resale of humanitarian aid.
Although she left the party in 2022, Yatsyk continued to vote in alignment with the “Servant of the People” faction. With her official exit, the ruling coalition will now consist of 233 deputies, raising questions about the future dynamics within the coalition.
