“Not a single intact building left” – Ukrainian officials on the devastation in Toretsk

The situation is dire in Toretsk as the frontline town is facing relentless shelling and air attacks as storming Russian troops are targeting residential areas, according to Vasyl Chynchyk who leads the town military administration.

“Every building, private property, and all structures within the community have been either destroyed, partially damaged, or affected. There isn’t a single intact building  that hasn’t suffered from Russia’s armed aggression,” Chynchyk stated.

Despite the destruction, around 1,150 residents still remain in the community.  Ukrainian officials though managed to evacuate all the children while the prospects are bleak for those who chose the sate as Toretsk has no gas, electricity, or heating. The only available utility is technical water from wells.
