Prosecutors continue investigation into the killing of POWs

The prosecutor’s office is investigating the possibility of involvement of the 76th Airborne Assault Division of the Russian Federation, known as the “Pskov Division”, in the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Rabotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the Ukrainian law enforcement, the identification of the killed Ukrainian soldiers is ongoing, and their names will be made public later.
So far, the Prosecutor General’s office has not disclosed details about the location of the bodies of the fallen defenders.
The prosecutor’s office has identified persons that can be involved in the killing of the prisoners of war.
‘We have grounds to believe that the 76th Airborne Division of the Russian Federation was involved in this crime. We are currently checking this information. This division is already known for war crimes committed in Ukraine, in particular in Kyiv region,’ said the representative of the Prosecutor’s office.
He also noted that the video of the execution of the Ukrainian military was received by the Prosecutor General’s Office on December 16, on that day, the shooting itself probably took place.
