Ukraine and Brazil are planning to intensify economic cooperation and increase trade between the countries.

This was discussed during a video meeting between the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, and the Vice President, Minister of Development, Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil, Geraldo José Rodrigues Alckmin Filho.

The Brazilian vice president expressed his support for Ukraine. The Ukrainian side presented opportunities for Brazilian business to cooperate with Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

According to the Minister of Economy, steady economic growth even against the background of the war against the Russian Federation, as well as Ukraine’s status as a candidate country for EU membership, opens up good prospects for foreign investors to enter European markets.

‘We agreed that our governments will intensify the deepening of mutually beneficial economic cooperation and will work on increasing trade between Ukraine and Brazil,’ Yulia Svyrydenko said.

The parties also discussed possibilities for further personal bilateral meetings and outlined economic topics for future discussion.
