On February 19, taking part in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU, Dmytro Kuleba called on his European colleagues to make all possible efforts to urgently increase the supply of artillery shells.

In particular, he called to cancel export contracts and direct all existing European production to the needs of the Ukrainian front and European defense.

‘Every artillery round now produced in Europe must serve the defense of Europe. We should take this as a rule,’ Ukraine’s minister stated.

He told the heads of the European diplomacy about the barbaric Russian tactics of ‘meat assaults’ and called for immediate decisions to provide the Ukrainian army with the necessary number of artillery shells as soon as possible.

Kuleba called on governments to enter into more long-term contracts for the establishment of new production lines, to jointly search outside Europe for shells that can be purchased and sent to Ukraine.

‘The Russian threat to Europe will not go away. Unfortunately, we have a new revanchist evil that threatens all of Europe. You all feel that the atmosphere has changed,’ the minister stressed.
