Ukraine’s naval drone shoots down a Russian military helicopter

Ukraine’s military intelligence boasted another success on Tuesday after its naval drone destroyed an Russian Mi-8 helicopter.

Carried out by the HUR’s elite “Group 13” unit,  the attack took place on December 31 near Cape Tarkhankut in occupied Crimea.

The Ukrainian special forces deployed a Magura V5 naval drone equipped with R-73 “SeaDragon” missiles, one of which took down downed the enemy helicopter during combat operations.

HUR added they also struck a second Russian Mi-8 helicopter but it managed to return to a Russian airfield.
