Ukraine’s state defense company UkrOboronProm has achieved a significant milestone by entering the top-50 list of global defense companies in 2024. Ranked 65th in 2023, the company has leaped up 16 places to 49th spot, according to Ukrainian strategic industries minister Oleksandr Kamyshin.
The minister is proud that UkrOboronProm has shown the fastest growth among the top 100 defense firms worldwide. In 2023, the company’s revenue skyrocketed by 72%, reaching $2.2 billion.
“Certainly, no ranking is our ultimate goal today, and this rapid growth is, unfortunately, driven by critical necessity,” added Kamyshin.
He stressed that the war effort is forcing Ukraine’s defense industry to speed up production high-quality weaponry.
