Zelensky promises “modern solutions” for Ukrainian troops

In a his evening address on Friday, Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky said the country’s defense ministry is developing “new and absolutely modern solutions” for its armed forces. These innovations aim to cut through “excessive bureaucracy and paper work”.
“Soon, these changes will be unveiled to the public,” said Zelensky. He provided no specifics claiming that “they will be truly innovative and will help our troops operate more effectively on the ground.”
Later in the day, Zelensky received a detailed briefing from Ukraine’s commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi; they discussed the situation at the Pokrovsk front, where some of the fiercest battles are currently taking place.
The president was also updated by Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate director, but the details of their meeting remained confidental.
